Ameda White Valve (for HygieniKit, and Manual Pump) The White Valve is the most common replacement part. If you are pumping regularly you should replace the valves every 3-4 months depending on frequency of use. Remember to Gently wash the valves by hand in hot soapy water and rinse under hot running water. This is the same valve for all Ameda pumps (Manual, Purely Yours, Elite, SMB, and Lact-e). Please note about new valves if a new valve comes to you open it is most likely a good valve. I have contacted Ameda regarding the valve closure issue, they assure me that it in no way effects the valves effectiveness and that roughly 45% of all valves are manufactured that way. All Ameda products are warranted to the original consumer purchaser to be free from defects in material and workmanship which are not commercially acceptable for the period of one year from the date of purchase on the pump mechansim and the period of 90 days on all other product components. Warranty coverage terminates if you sell or otherwise transfer this product to another person. In the event the product is found by Ameda to not meet the above limited warranty, as purchaser's sole and exclusive remedy Ameda will repair or, at the option of Ameda, replace this product without charge for such replacement or parts or labor. The purchaser shall bear all expense for returning this product to Ameda. This warranty does not apply to any product that has been subjected to misuse, abuse, or alteration. Only Ameda brand replacement parts are recommended for use with Ameda breastfeeding products. Improper or incorrectly performed maintenance or repair, or use of non-Ameda brand replacement parts may invalidate this warranty.
