Store Booby Tubes® in the freezer and wear them inside your bra between feedings to help reduce the swelling and tenderness of engorgement and comfort breasts during weaning.

When heated, Booby Tubes® safely deliver warm, moist heat to tender breasts to encourage milk flow, maintain open milk ducts to prevent clogged ducts, promote let-down and comfort the symptoms of infection or mastitis. Here are other suggestions help avoid breast engorgement

1. Express or pump your breasts if you miss a feeding or if your baby doesn't nurse long enough to soften both breasts.
2. Avoid supplementing your breast milk with water or formula.
3. Breastfeed your Angel Baby frequently and for an unrestricted amount of time.
4. Massage your milk ducts in a circular motion around each breast before nursing.
5. Spend some time on your back. This will place your breasts higher than your heart and encourage drainage of swollen breasts.

(Engorgement can sometimes be confused with mastitis. If symptoms of mastitis are present such as malaise, fever, hardness or redness, continue nursing and consult your health care provider immediately.)

How do I heat my Booby Tubes™ if I don't have a microwave?
One of our intrepid Mama's Helpers took this question on, and took some Booby Tubes™ home for a little experiment in her own oven. The results were terrific - as long as you don't forget to take the Booby Tubes™ out of the oven! Preheat your oven to the lowest setting (that was 170 degrees on Mama's Helper's oven), place your Booby Tubes™ in an oven-safe dish, away from the heating element, and heat them for 10-15 minutes. After 15 minutes they don't seem to get much warmer, so that seems to be all the time they need. Please set a timer and keep a very close eye on them while they are in the oven! One advantage of the microwave is it shuts off automatically, so with a regular oven you'll have to be more diligent.

How do I clean my Booby Tubes™?
Just wipe the outside 100% organic cotton with a damp cloth. It is important that you don't submerge them in water (or put them in a washing machine) as they are filled with flax seeds and if they get wet, they may sprout (really!!)
